Bak Bak village, only dead turtles found

A turtle carcass was found by one of the locals, Sabarudin at Kg Bak Bak on 23rd December 2014. There were many other dead turtles found along the coastal area of Bak Bak, Simpang Mengayau and Bavang Jamal recently. Within a year, more than 20 turtles were found washed ashore in these villages. They were most probably suspected to die from being drowned in fishing trawlers net, plastic bag ingestions and fish bomb blasts.
