SOCIO-ECONOMY (ECOTOURISM)

In socio economic activities, KTCS focuses more on the local economics and social science. Via socio-economic activities, we are able to study the interactions between people with different socio-economic backgrounds behave and how each interaction has an impact on people’s livelihoods.

Tourism has played a crucial role in supporting the livelihoods of the local communities here in Kudat. KTCS has supported local businesses by promoting their handicrafts (crafted by the local women) as a means of empowering women and conserving the environment.
