On 15 November 2015, KTCS first awareness talk at Kg Tajau Laut was interrupted by an unexpected social event, when villagers came out to help one fisherman to push out his newly built boat to the sea. Some of KTCS members had also went out to lend a hand. We were left with 35 villagers participating in our talk while the rest were occupied with the boat launching. Although such unexpected event occurred, we were thrilled to see how unified the villagers were and how also cooperative they were in participating in our first awareness talk.

We had invited WWF-Malaysia and a health consultant from Herbalife to share about the importance of health to the local community here and organised a free health check for a number of women and children at this event. There were 20 women and children, and 15 men participated. We would to thank those who who had joined our event as well congratulating the villagers who had lend their help to the fisherman.
